 Handover to Support team

Before the system can be handed from the developer to the support teams, there are several important things that must be completed.  In every case, there must be a clear definition of the type and extent of the maintenance and support that will be provided.  This is best done using a Service Level Agreement.

At handover:

Go to DOCUMENTATION

Ensure that the documentation is complete
Analyse the service requirements of users
Draw up a schedule of likely costs and secure the required budgets
Go to SLA Prepare a Service Level Agreement
Ensure that both the developer and support personnel will co-ordinate their work with the in-house support desk
